BOTULINUM TOXIN
It’s a liquid injected with micro-needles into the face and neck.
Botulinum toxin aims to reduce muscle contraction and thus diminish wrinkles caused by facial expressions.
For anyone who wants to reduce the formation of expression lines like crow’s feet and forehead wrinkles. It can also be used to lift the eyebrows and create a “lifting” effect on the face. It corrects gummy smiles, facial paralysis after-effects, among others.
After application, it gradually begins to take effect from the 5th–7th day, reaching its maximum effect within 15 days.
After reaching its peak, it remains at a plateau for about 3 months and gradually wears off by the 6th month.
Around two to three hours. Depending on the case, some details can extend this time. However, the procedure time should not be confused with the patient’s total time in the Surgical Center, which also includes anesthesia preparation and post-op recovery.
Do not engage in physical activity for 24 hours.
Hyaluronic Acid Fillers:
It’s a hyaluronic acid gel, a substance that already exists in our body.
Since there are various gel forms—firmer or more fluid—we can achieve different effects. We can improve facial contours, reduce deep wrinkles, and fill folds.
For people who want to fill under-eye hollows, lips, chin, jawline, deep folds, or improve the appearance of the nose.
The effect is immediate, but the product settles in 30 days and absorbs more water during that time.
Depends on the area, type of gel, and quantity used, but averages between 6–18 months.
On average, every 12 months.
Do not sleep “pressing” the treated area for 48 hours, do not engage in physical activity for 24 hours after application. Do not massage or apply ice without medical guidance.
Collagen Biostimulators:
Collagen is one of the substances that give our skin firmness. Over the years, production decreases. So, we place aesthetic products beneath the skin to stimulate collagen production.
As collagen is produced, the skin becomes firmer, with fewer wrinkles, and more radiant. We typically apply it along the face’s framework to create a “lifting” vector effect.
We offer 5 different types of collagen stimulators in the clinic.
We have Sculptra, which stimulates collagen and adds a subtle volume to the face,
Radiesse, which stimulates collagen with almost no added volume,
Ellansé, which I use for ligament suspension technique,
HarmonyCa, which already contains hyaluronic acid and gives volume where injected while producing collagen.
Lastly, we have PDO threads, which stimulate collagen in areas where other products can’t be used (glabella, under-eyes, nasolabial folds, and lip barcode lines).
For anyone who has felt their skin become saggy, either due to age or weight loss. For all who want to soften or prevent aging in a natural and elegant way.
Around 3 months after the procedure.
8–12 months.
At least once a year.
If Sculptra or Radiesse is used, you’ll need to massage the treated area 3x a day for 3 days. The others do not require this.
DR. HELENA RAMOS
Few people know, but I have always had a close relationship with my hands. I am ambidextrous, embroider, play the piano and guitar since I was young. I fell in love with plastic surgery while still in college. I knew I wanted to use my hands... I wanted something surgical!
I have always had manual skills and fell in love with plastic surgery during college. I enjoy seeing the transformation that surgery can provide and the trust relationship I establish with my patients. Nothing is more gratifying than seeing the happiness on someone's face after achieving their aesthetic goals. It is an honor for me to have the trust of so many people in their transformation journeys.
